Our Experiences & Workshops
Not everyone who comes here stays overnight. More and more often, people drop by for a few hours—to experience something they don’t do every day. That’s why you can now book our workshops separately, without staying in a studio.
The idea is simple: you drive up to the farm, I’ll welcome you personally, and then we’ll get to work together. Sometimes among the bees, sometimes behind the espresso machine. No groups of ten, no rushed schedule—just attention, tranquility, and time to truly experience something.
When it’s over, you’ll head home with something that will stay with you forever: a new skill, a great story, and an afternoon that felt different from the rest.

Try our own raw honey from the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. During the Beekeeping Experience, you’ll see where that honey comes from: from the hives in our own backyard, nestled among the fruit trees and flowers that the bees visit.

Make the Perfect Espresso
Learn how to make espresso the right way: from beans and grinding to extraction, flavor, and crema. You’ll work at the machine yourself using fresh specialty coffee and receive immediate feedback, so you’ll have a better understanding of what you’re doing when you get home.

Practical
- Duration: Each experience lasts a total of 2.5 hours—including the welcome, the workshop itself, and tasting and discussion.
- Location: Logies op Dreef, Driebergen-Rijsenburg. Free parking on the property or right outside the door. Utrecht Central Station is about 15 minutes away; Driebergen-Zeist Station is within cycling distance.
- Number of people: small-scale and personalized. The Beekeeper Experience is always one-on-one. The Barista Experience is personalized and, depending on the setup, can also be booked as a group.
- Price: Starting at €60 per person. Gift certificates available.
- Included: all materials, including a protective suit and gloves at the Beekeeper Experience, and of course a tasting of honey or coffee.
- Accommodations: Not necessary. You book the experience separately. If you’d like to add an overnight stay, you can do so separately based on the availability of our studios.
Beekeeper Workshop
This workshop lets you experience what it’s like to work safely and calmly with bees. You’ll put on a full protective suit, open a hive with me, and learn to observe what’s happening inside a colony. I deliberately conduct this workshop one-on-one so that all attention is focused on you and there is as little disturbance to the bees as possible.
Barista Workshop
Learn how to make a better espresso in no time. You’ll work with fresh specialty coffee, a high-quality grinder, and a semi-professional espresso machine. From grinding and dosing to extraction and flavor: you’ll immediately taste the difference that small adjustments make.
Scheduled by mutual agreement
The experiences are scheduled by arrangement, usually between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The Barista Experience is available year-round. The Beekeeper Experience depends on the season, temperature, and weather, as we only work with the bees when it is safe to do so.
Your Away-from-Home Experience
What I love about these experiences is that you’re only there for a few hours, yet you go home with something lasting. You’ve spent time among the bees, made your first truly good espresso, or finally understood what goes on inside a beehive or a coffee machine.
That’s exactly what I want to offer: not just another run-of-the-mill outing, but a personalized experience marked by care, craftsmanship, and tranquility. Right here on the property, in the heart of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
